= Chapter 25 =

The next day I showed up at Heather's office, like she asked. “Hellllooo. How are you?” I asked as I smiled from ear-to-ear and slid into the chair before her desk.

She looked up with a smile. “Looks like someone's in a good mood. What happened to you to produce that smile?"

"I got a date.” I smiled even bigger as if that were possible.

"Get out. With who?"

"Remember the woman I met at the movies?"

"The one that got robbed, right?"

"Yep. After the cops left and the craziness was over, we started talking and decided to go for a cup of coffee. But we ended up not going because my leg was turning colors, so she gave me a ride home and we talked and exchanged numbers. When I spoke to her the next day, about the robbery guy, she mentioned that she would still like to have that cup of coffee. So, being the shy person that I am, I invited her over. It was so shitty out, I thought we could have the cup of coffee at my place. She accepted. She even brought over a pizza and we just hung out and talked and watched TV for a good five hours. Then I asked if she wanted to go out for dinner on her next night off, and she accepted. So I got myself a date, sometime in the near future."

"What's her name again?"

"Joli. She's a little bit taller than me, but not much. She has blonde hair, brown eyes and a dimple when she smiles. She's one of the head nurses at Sister Teresa's Hospital.” I filled Heather in on what happened to the robber, and she listened to me babble on about Joli some more.

When we finally finished all the weekend chitchat, she started talking about the pictures and what she wanted to happen next. “Part of the deal with Jesse was that if she allowed us to take pictures, we would have to let her see them and possibly use them as memorabilia from the concert. You know, they make shirts, collector's books, key chains, buttons, you name it. Now, these pictures are awesome. So, first I want you to finish developing them and then we need to get them in some order so we can decide what to send her first. You might be working your ass off the rest of this week. Is that a problem?"

"Are you kidding? Do you think she'll actually use these for Tyler's merchandise?"

"I think we have as much a chance as anyone else. I mean, look at this shot. Alright, it's not Tyler, but who else would even think to take a picture like this?” She pointed to a shot of the stage before the concert started, where I captured one of the crew members holding a microphone and mouthing the words to the song that was playing in the background. He didn't know I was taking the picture; his eyes were closed and he was hitting a high note.
